Lessons in Affliction

Who loves to be afflicted? Not me. Probably not you either. But there are lessons to learn in the midst of the affliction.

It is good for me that I have been afflicted; That I might learn thy statutes.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭119:71‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is a powerful lesson to learn here. The writer used “afflicted” meaning that it was good to experience the affliction because they learn God’s Word in the process. I can guarantee you that in the midst of the trial the writer didn’t understand it, but afterwards they did. But I believe this can encourage us to dig into the Word “during” the trial. There’s a lesson in the Word during a trial.
